The book that I chose is Narrative Of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave by Douglass. …of freedom. Like many of us who want to be independent, after getting what we want, we feel insecure and lonely. Even though he was suffering as a slave he wasn’t alone and was secure with a home and maybe food. Now he was responsible for himself. He had no home, no friends and was risking getting captured again. He trusted no man because he was scared of being a slave in Maryland again.
