…of life from a person. Freedom more likely signifies the total opposite, and that is being independent from any oppressing power, and having the opportunity of succeeding in life. For the people who have been selling free or not free black people into slavery, as Solomon said, it wasn’t their total fault for doing these crimes, because it was the society in which these slaveholders lived in, that they held the influence of slaveholding.
