Freedom - Crucible

Freedom To most people in the US freedom is an accepted concept that we take for granted. Freedom was once described by Arthur Miller as: “Guilt is un-freedom”. …and hung. In the end John is freed of any personal guilt about his lechery with Abigail, and his guilt of being a witch. When he went to the gallows his mind was free of all the bad things that had happened. He has therefore gained the “ultimate freedom that Arthur Miller once referred to. John hasn’t ever taken his freedom for granted and he is now the most free he has ever been.
