Genesis and Theogony

…that the writers of Genesis took the ideas of creation myths such as Theogony and rewrote them with a single God in order to fit a monotheistic culture. Others will argue that it is a piece of divine revelation. Theogony is no longer a widely accepted account of creation. It has simply become a myth children learn in school. Whichever creation story one chooses to believe however, one cannot dismiss the parallels between the two.
