The Glass Menagerie is a play based around a fragile family and their difficulties coping with life. Laura is a girl who is unable to survive in the world outside or around her. She invites gentlemen callers into the life of Laura, whether Laura likes it. Laura does indeed though have her own issues. She somewhat leads a life of simplicity and has a difficult time dealing with the outside world. Her way of not dealing with anything is to stay inside or get away.
