In Norway, Sweden, Italy, Israel, India, and Mexico the wolf is totally protected by law although protection is often minimally enforced.         Man holds the future of the wolf in his hands; the wolf is fully capable of surviving if man learns to understand it and therefore learn to appreciate it and value it.
