…handguns were outlawed, fewer guns would be available, therefore fewer criminals would have access to them. The right to bear arms should be taken in context and brought to modern days. An organized militia is no longer necessary like it was in the beginning of our nation. Private citizens should rely on the officials to protect them and not own handguns. Owning a handgun as an individual can take more lives than it can save.
