…mad? Yes or no. Yes, because he lets those around him influence his actions. No, because he knew what he was doing all along. Hamlet was, indeed, a very smart man and he liked to manipulate others’ emotions. He took advantage of the fact that everyone thought he was mad to get them to do what he wanted.
