…Kind of Alaska, in which a woman who has been dormant for thirty odd years regains consciousness, Pinter explains in more detail who he has created, but then re-balances the scale by creating dialogue which is that much more enigmatic. Pinter is certainly realistic regarding the emotional truths of the human condition, and it is in my opinion a less important task to accurately portray the daily life of a newspaper vendor or a maid.
