Harrasment

The essay “Unfair Game” by Susan Jacoby presents first hand examples of sexual harassment. Susan Jacoby and a woman friend were talking in a hotel restaurant. The two of them were interrupted by a male caller. The man persistently flirted; eventually Susan snapped at the man and roughly asked him to leave. His response was anything but complimentary. …This bombardment of materialistic ideas only adds to objectifying of everyday women. A society where women are presented as objects will end up treating them like objects. Susan Jacoby has definitive ideas regarding the treatment of women. She makes a valid point. Women are presented like objects in present day society. In turn, women are treated like objects. If society stopped presenting women as objects maybe eventually they wouldn’t be considered to be them.
