During 150 BC to 750BC, it was called Greek’s dark ages and during this time, the skill of writing was lost so history relied on an oral tradition. History was passed on from person to person by sharing to great tales of Greek heroes and gods. …lost history could be guessed. Homer was the greatest poet and writer of both the ancient Greek world and now. Many historians have doubted his works has historical accurate references but the remains of what seemed to be the city of Troy was discovered, proving that some of Homer’s work could be true. True or not, Homer was still a great bard who preserved Greek’s history, traditions, beliefs and ideals through his epics.
