Human Cloning
Cloning is defined as the production of a cell or organism with the same nuclear genome as another cell or organism. The word clone is derived from a Greek word for taking a cutting from a plant. To clone is simply to make an exact genetic copy of an existing organism. It is a natural process in most plants and even a few bacterial organisms. Considerably, it does not normally happen in mammals and humans,
a trial and error process that will lead to questions of morality among bioethics, even if some potentially beneficial results are achieved. Ultimately, society’s views on cloning should surround its idea of immorality and objectiveness. Man must overcome the desire to “play God” and realize the indecency and faultiness that occurs by cloning humans. A clone will never be accepted by society; its existence will be detrimental, thus foreshadowing cloning as an unethical practice.
