The show begins with the point of attack of Lucy and Ricky sitting in their living room; the neighbors and best friends, Fred and Ethel Mertz, were also there. This continues throughout the show with much rising action. The dramatic structure of the I Love Lucy Show is usually Lucy getting into a predicament and then getting caught and in the end everything coming to a happy ending.
