In instructional conversations, teachers focus on ideas that are relevant for students and have some educational meaning. Teachers are able to build on the students' ideas and guide the students to new levels of understanding, through their already existing background knowledge. Instructional conversations seem to work well with a variety of student levels, since the students themselves set their own boundaries. I believe this would be a great activity for all students. The students themselves would change the activity to meet their own educational level.
