…unbearable. After reading this book it makes the riots of the 1960’s in black communities seem very unsurprising. It is amazing to believe that in America people would have been treated in this manner. Griffin’s journey as a black man took place less than fifty years ago. In the history of mankind fifty years is hardly a speck in time. This leaves one to wonder how much things have truly changed in the South.
