…a huge vessel and was designed to carry over 4000 passengers, this presented Brunel with a number of difficult engineering problems that would need to be overcome and the strain of such a project began eve have an effect on the workaholic Brunel. During trials for the Great Western Brunel suffered a major seizure, he was taken to hospital but he died 10 days later and was buried at Kensal Green Cemetry on the 20th of September 1859.
