…he might be disappointed. But one of the key values in Islam is that the greatest sin is forgetting one’s duties to Allah. If we’ve only forgotten our duties then there’s a chance that they can be remembered again. Muhammad would say that there’s hope for us if only we could bring ourselves to remember Allah’s teachings, then we might bring ourselves back on the strait path that is Islam.
