As a guardian of individual liberty, Andrew Jackson, once again, had good intentions but was blind to his own mistakes and wrongdoing. No different from almost all of the whites in the 1820’s and 1830’s, Jackson failed accept blacks and Indians as “true” people of America. C) Liberty truly was in danger, Jackson’s arrogant attitude led the nation into peril. Although he still won the next election, his popularity had suffered along with the economy. In no way did Jackson or his party make the American economy equal and practical for all.
