…to be ready to “lose their lives in God’s service”. That statement in itself sums up the main goals of the Jesuits – acquiring new members of the Christian Church. After reading some of these reports, I look more favorably upon the French colonization of the America and Canada. While they were there to change the Indians, they managed (for the most part) to maintain fair and favorable relations with them at the same time.
