Job
Job Vs. J.B. Job, what a guy. J.B., also, what a guy. Both Job from the Bible, and J.B. from the play J.B. by Archibald MacLeish both portray a man who goes through much turmoil throughout his life. But who suffers more? Are we able to tell which of these men grieved more, or which one felt the most pain? Not unless we were there to experience the pain of both
attributes that no one has today. In the play J.B., the comforters are more up to date, so that we can better understand them. The play of J.B. is a lot easier to understand and relate to all around. This shows that more modern renditions are going to have more modern scenarios portraying the same idea, but only changed to help the reader better comprehend what the original author was trying to say.
