…in Los Angeles. On December 24, 1914, John Muir passed away. He was buried next to his wife in the Strentzel family cemetery in Martinez, California. John Muir was, I feel, the greatest contributor to the National Parks system. He fought for the natural environment of not only California, but for the entire United States. I think that if he was alive today, he would be disheartened by the way we treat the environment and each other.
