Paul’s writings in Romans constitutes the basis of Luther’s theology of grace. Luther’s reading of Romans is insufficient and needs to be supplemented by the bridge theory interpretation. I will defend the claim that both Luther’s theology of grace and the bridge theory are linked together. …theory. The Jewish promise is only completed through the new covenant which is faith in Christ. Jesus Christ is also a way for Jews and Christians to testify who God is. Paul rejects the law in Romans, but links Judaism and Christianity together. Claiming that God never broke his promise with the Jews, just that God added another part to the covenant so that all may join in on what the Jews have with God.
