…and motherhood. This envy leads men to depreciate women and overcompensate for their lack of childbearing abilities through creative work. How real is that! I’ve learned a lot from learning about such a unique, strong woman. Even though Karen Horney passed in 1952, she will live on forever through the people whose lives her work has and will affect. Hopefully her story will encourage more and more women to enter the scholarly aspects of psychology.
