Tom Regan , in his essay “ The case of animal rights”, which was taken from the original book “ In defense of animals” written in 1985, argues that the focus of our moral concern should not be to minimize suffering and maximize pleasure but to avoid treating individual animals ( human and nonhuman alike) in certain ways regardless of the consequences. …with the man. Many of the views and thoughts he puts into words are well stated and the meaning, however mind boggling the reading, was clearly interpreted. In closing I would like to say that after reading this essay, it has shown me that the rights view is a well thought moral acceptance. While the others lack by comparison they are hard to dispute, but I believe Mr. Regan sums it all up rather nicely
