Lord Of The Flies Essay
The two characters that I am going to compare and contrast are the most powerful of each of the two sides. Jack, the chief of the hunters, who symbolizes the hidden human passion and meanness, and Ralph, with Piggy and a few other children, who symbolize human common sense. At the beginning of the book Jack and Ralph are more or less equal. They are both well-conditioned boys, who find themselves on an island with
carefully developed and eventually things boil over between them. Ralph and his common sense stays almost the same throughout the book, it is Jack and his hunters who change. You find out about the differences between the two by experiencing the situations and conflicts that come between Ralph and Jack as they struggle for “power.” The differences are greater and the tension rising as the book goes on, until the book hit its “terrible ending!”
