Louis Daniel Armstrong was born on August 4, 1901. Although he was born on August 4, 1901, he celebrated it on July 4, 1900. He did this because it was what he was told and therefore believed. Louis Armstrong was a man of many talents. He appeared on film, on stage, and made records. He died on July 6, 1971 in his sleep at Queens, New York. To some people Louis will always be the “King of Jazz”.
