Macbeth: Witch Conspiracy

Deception is the underlying tone of Macbeth. In the play, one deceitful event leads to another and so on. It seems as though no one is who they seems they are and everyone is suspected of having hidden ulterior motives. The witches, if they truly possessed the powers they claimed, would had to have known all along that the consequences Macbeth and his Lady's actions would carry themselves out the way they did. They were aware of Macbeth’s ignorance and monopolized on it. Macbeth and others were in the end, under the manipulation of the witches. Having the abilities they did, they could manipulate and deceive their pawns as they chose.
