The three things that illustrated appearance versus reality the best were the development of the Macbeth and Lady Macbeth characters and the witches’ prophecies. Not being able to tell the good from the bad is something that will always face man as long as defining characters of human beings such as jealousy, over confidence, ambition, and greed still exist.
