Macbeths developement is chapter one
The Development of MacBeth's Character Through Act 1 Initially we see Macbeth as a valiant, heroic, powerful solider, his conduct on the battlefield described vividly by a wounded captain returning from the battle."For brave Macbeth - well he deserves that name." Macbeths actions on the battlefield show us another side to his character, we see a ruthless, cold-blooded man that shows no morality towards the victims of his sword. His sword is described as, "brandished
to the throne, we find Macbeth capable of hiding his devastation to deceive the king,"Stars hide your fires let not light see my black and deep desires." It is noticeable how Macbeth is becoming more and more obsessed with the idea of becoming king that he feels anger towards anyone who is an obstacle in his path to the throne. This is a dangerous sign that Macbeth is turning his back on his morals.
