Maimonides
God and his “Evils” Throughout the course of his Eight Chapters, Maimonides makes reference to the evil of man. Yet one of the primary problems with this whole issue is the fact that man was created in God’s image and that anything one creates one is responsible for the actions of the creation. If man is evil, then is God not responsible for the evil of man and indirectly the creator of all evil
To create something is to be able to control and influence it and it is obvious that God did not control or influence pharaoh in any way that would portray God in a light other than angry. In such a portrayal God is irascible, prone to action and anger which cannot possibly be good. Therefore God did not create man at all, and as such God is not responsible for the actions of evil men.
