In the 60’s, America was filled with racism and segregation. There were two main civil rights leaders for the blacks, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King. But in a time of violent actions Malcolm X’s philosophies made the most sense because he encouraged the blacks to fight back against discrimination, build black communities, and segregate schools to give blacks better educations. …communities, and segregate schools to give blacks better educations. The blacks were in poor conditions and they were being mistreated, so Malcolm X’s ideas shed a light of hope on their lives. Instead of having to fight for integration, they could live separate from the whites and thrive in their own communities and start their own educational programs. Malcolm X had a system that would have the blacks seeing positive results in no time.
