Man’s Negative Effects On The Environment • Pollution Pollution exists in many forms and affects many different aspects of Earth's environment. Point-source pollution comes from specific, localized, and identifiable sources, such as sewage pipelines or industrial smokestacks. This action leads to many severe problems involving the environment, such as acid rain and excessive carbon dioxide production. The lack of forests leaves much wildlife without shelter or protection which ultimately results in the eradication of their species.
