Marijuana: Should It Be Legal

The word marijuana holds two very different meanings in today’s society. To parents it is a drug that is affecting their teenage children. Scientists have found that marijuana impairs all abilities by conducting extensive experiments and in depth research. However, many doctors see marijuana as a substance that can relieve, not cure, many sick people from their daily pain. …subside? I would want the medicinal purposes of marijuana to be permitted in the United States. However, I would not want my kids to believe it is okay to use the drug since doctors use it. The argument over whether marijuana is a drug or a medical tool may never be resolved. As long as there are people on both sides to argue their viewpoints, the definitional argument will keep rotating in a huge circle.
