Medieval Life and Diseases During the Medieval period many people suffered from illnesses and diseases. Most of which, caused families and friends to loose loved ones. Most laws were made and enforced by the owner of the land the town was on. As townspeople gained power the guilds would demand that they should get rights of self-government.
