Mexican War

The Mexican War does promote national interests because the majority of the country, especially the largely populated South, including President Polk strongly favors territorial expansion. If America defeat Mexico and conquer California and Texas, America would gain over half of Mexico’s land and grow as a prospered nation. …War; however, the expansion of Mexico does not promote the national interests of equality among all men. The Mexican War promotes the institution of slavery, where all men are not created equal. America does not have the right to infringe against the rights of inferior races, the blacks and American natives. However, the westward extension to the West, will accommodate most of America’s national interest with the spread of territory and growth of economy.
