Mice and Men

Imagine running from city to city, living in despair, but still believing that dreams do come true to those who wait. Well, that happened to two middle-aged men, Lennie and George in the story “Of Mice and Men” by John Stienbeck. They both have a dream to own an acre of land and a shack they can call their own, until disaster strikes. The killing of Lennie and of Candy’s dog were both mercy …

…to do the job, and it was then that George made the decision. Through out this story love, friendship, suspense, and tragedy was portrayed. The friendships of George and Lennie, the love of a friend, and the price of mistakes. John Stienbeck’s “ Of Mice and Men” entices all of those feelings. The killing of Lennie and of Candy’s dog was that they were both going to be saved from further pain and torment.
