Miranda Decision

This infamous Supreme Court case of 1966 deals with the rights of the accused, mainly with the Fifth Amendment right to not incriminate one’s self. Despite recent debate and the request to reverse the Miranda decision, it still holds up and is a vital part of our society. The Court’s decision insures the American people that their rights will be upheld under any circumstance, and that the original intent the framers of the Constitution had in mind is still alive today.
