In both the book and movie Montana 1948 –Larry Watson and A River Runs Through It-Robert Redford. There is a character that ends up destroying himself without knowing that they are doing so. In the book Montana 1948 the character Frank is portrayed as the perfect person, he was a war hero, and then held a reasonable job as a
beaten to death by the people he owes money to. Paul was believed to be blinded by his on gambling obsession, which blurred his vision not to be able to see that he was hurting himself.
