Mustang Ford took bits and pieces from the Falcon and Fairlane cars and created what took the car industry by storm in 1964. …were made and sold to the public at various dealerships. In 1968 Ford was selling a big percent of mustangs to California. As a result the California Special was sold exclusively to California. Also a High Country Special was sold in the Denver area. Ford also used a Sports Sprint. The Sports Sprint was a six-cylinder mustang that was designed like a GT but instead of the high horsepower V8 engine it had a 200 six cylinder.
