Mysogynistic Harmatia
Ted Bundy, Eminem, Jack the Ripper, and.....Hamlet? The first three names in this list would be widely accepted when you are listing possible misogynists, however most people probably don’t think that Hamlet fits in this category. I believe that this very character trait is Hamlet’s most prominent flaw. He treated the women in his life with brutality and callousness. Gertrude and Ophelia were the recipients of many slurs and hateful actions made
have died so prematurely. Also, if the duel had not taken place, Gertrude would have lived longer as well. Hamlet was a misogynist and because of this we can list him among civilization’s cruelest men. His actions led to the deaths of more than three of his close acquaintances. Hamlet’s harmatia can easily be identified as misogyny and it is no doubt that all the results of this view were his own fault.
