Nazi Germany was plagued with nearly a decade or more of arrests, imprisonments, executions, and concentration camps. German citizens lost all their civic rights and a wave of Anti-Semitism swept through the country. The justice system lost all fairness; judges and courts acted in interest of Nazism as well.
