Were the nineteenth century entrepreneur’s robber barons? The answers have differing opinions as to who is answering them. One thing is for certain though, the big business entrepreneur's did make decisions to increase their profits but on the other hand their decisions often promoted economic growth, which created new jobs. American’s were becoming world leaders in international trade, which gave America international economic power. Industrial growth also promoted new inventions and ideas of production means. Inconclusion late nineteenth century entrepreneurs did exploit the economy for their personal gain, but by doing so they stimulated the economy and gave America economic power around the world.
