…North. The Boston Massacre is just one example. Excessive taxation burdened the colonists and angered them. It was also the North that objected more strongly to the British rule with outburts like the Boston Tea Party. Had farming been the Northern colonies’ main source of income things would have been different. Like the South, they probably would not have been as opposed to the English. We would most likely still be part of Britain today.
