No Civil War?
No Civil War? There may not have been a Civil War if the Northern colonies had the same agriculture as the South . Even the Revolution may not have taken place if this was true. It took a long time before the North convinced the South to take part in the Revolution. Originally, some of the reasons stated for why we were going to break off from England included items against slavery. They had to be
North. The Boston Massacre is just one example. Excessive taxation burdened the colonists and angered them. It was also the North that objected more strongly to the British rule with outburts like the Boston Tea Party. Had farming been the Northern colonies’ main source of income things would have been different. Like the South, they probably would not have been as opposed to the English. We would most likely still be part of Britain today.
