Obedience
Stanley Milgram’s experiment was very controversial on the point of the teacher being confused toward the learner’s reactions. The teacher was asked to read a list of word pairs and to ask the learner to recite them back. If the learner got the correct answer, then they moved on to the next word. If the answer was incorrect, the teacher was supposed to shock the learner starting at 15 volts and going up to 450
rules that he had agreed to follow. The code of ethics that were placed on this experiment is the same set of codes that are placed on every experiment it includes: Respect for peoples rights, and dignity, concern for others welfare, social responsibility, among others. On the point, Stanley Milgram was in case ethical but his experiment showed not to be ethical because he deceived the teacher in believing that the learner was getting hurt.
