…conclusion, I feel that the use of imagery in blindness and vision is imperative to emphasize the irony and also heighten the drama of the play. While Oedipus is considered to be highly intelligent and to possess above average problem-solving skills, he fails to recognize and understand the truth of his destiny. Oedipus fails to accept the truth as it’s presented before him and his continuing search for it ultimately leads to his blindness.
