The novel, Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck is a story about two very different characters who have an emotional bond. In the end George must kill the same man that was so much a part of his life and who he worked so hard to protect. Ultimately, mans commitment to man leads to mans destruction. I believe this is the circular structure of the book.
