Oklahoma City Bombing
A car bomb ripped apart the Alfred Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City on Wednesday, April 19, 1995, demolishing nearly half the 9-story building. A second, unexploded bomb was found inside. A medical worker estimated that only two of 80 people found in a search that afternoon had survived. At least 19 other people were confirmed dead, 17 of them were infants and children in a day care center on the premises, and hundreds more are injured. Federal officials
