Old Man and the Sea

This novel takes place in a small village in the Caribbean. And it’s the story of an old man who is a fisherman. For forty days a young boy was with him. But they had no luck. They didn’t catch any fish and so the boy had to leave him. Further forty days later the old man hasn’t caught a fish either. Everyday the boy brings the old man something to eat, …

…sleeps for a very long time. After he woke up the boy tells him that the coast guard searched for him. The other fishers marvel at the remains of the fish. The old man gives the sword of the fish to the young boy. Now the old man must get well again. The young boy goes to the public house for food and to the drugstore for medication for the hands of the old man.
