…and women getting the vote. This allowed them to have more rights and say in what they want. Also by having role models from the past, they inspired female athletes of the future. As the Olympics progressed women were allowed to compete in more sports their confidence grew and determination was stronger. It wasn’t until 1981 where women were allowed to be members of the IOC and it was a long wait however much deserved.
