McMurphy uses his indomitable will to fight against a great evil in order to bring life to a few “loonies.” He arouses them from the continual sleep they live in to show them what it is like to make their own decisions. He brings them baseball games, fishing trips, gambling, sex, choice, comfort, and most importantly, life. McMurphy is most like Jesus because he brings life to those who need it.
